About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse - Med/Surg travel assignment in Poplar, Montana, for 13 weeks. The role involves delivering direct patient care to adults in medical/surgical and emergency department float coverage. Responsibilities include performing assessments, administering medications, collaborating with the healthcare team, and supporting care and discharge planning. The work setting is a healthcare facility environment with cross-coverage duties in Medical/Surgical and the Emergency Department.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (state as required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Med/Surgical and Emergency Department experience required
• Ability to float between Med/Surg and ED; flexible to weekends and holidays as needed
• Submission profile should include: JHP Cover Sheet, Work History, Skills Checklist, Professional State License, current BLS certification, and 2 professional references within the last 2 years

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adults in medical/surgical and emergency department float coverage
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor status, and document in patient records
• Administer medications and IV therapies; monitor for adverse reactions; ensure safe practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; communicate changes to physicians; respond to emergencies
• Support care planning, discharge planning, and patient education on diagnoses and treatments
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and accurate charting; assist with transitions of care
