About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical unit in Atlanta, GA. The contract is for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift schedule, three days per week. The role involves providing continuous nursing care to adult and older adult patients on a 32-bed med-surg unit, monitoring patient status, administering medications, performing bedside care, and documenting in the electronic health record. Collaboration with physicians, case management, and therapy services is also a key part of the role. Fast credentialing processes may apply, and extension opportunities are available.

Requirements

Current RN license to practice in Georgia
BLS and ACLS certifications active at time of assignment
Documented med/surgical and telemetry experience
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts; flexible to meet unit needs
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Ability to work in a fast-paced med-surg setting and handle adult/older adult patient populations

Responsibilities

Provide continuous, compassionate nursing care for adult and older adult patients on a 32-bed med-surg unit
Monitor patient status, perform focused assessments, and escalate changes to the interdisciplinary team
Administer medications, including IV therapies and acute medications as ordered (trauma patients and heparin drips may be involved)
Perform frequent bedside care, wound management, and telemetry observation as indicated
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record per unit policy
Collaborate with physicians, case management, and therapy services to support safe transitions and discharge planning
