About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at a Short-Term Acute Care Hospital in Portland, Oregon. The assignment is for approximately 13 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026. The role involves delivering direct nursing care, monitoring patients, administering medications and treatments, developing care plans, educating patients and families, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (Oregon)
- BLS certification (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS) required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg/acute care experience
- Must be able to work in a hospital setting on a day shift schedule

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for Med-Surg patients following the nursing process and established standards
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and treatments, and manage IVs and devices
- Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate with physicians, therapists, and families
- Conduct patient and family education; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Supervise and delegate tasks to assigned nursing staff; promote a safe, healing environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
