About The Position
This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care Supervisor in Lowville, New York. The role is in a hospital setting and offers 36 guaranteed hours per week. The shift is the evening shift with every-other-weekend coverage. The assignment includes a prompt interview and start process.
Requirements
- Current RN license in New York state
- Experience in long-term care supervisory or leadership roles preferred
- Ability to work evenings and every other weekend
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment and adapt to a hospital setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing staff on an evening shift, ensuring high-quality resident care and adherence to care plans.
- Provide direct patient care as a registered nurse when needed and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff (e.g., LPNs/CNAs) to support daily operations.
- Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, document findings, and communicate with the interdisciplinary care team for timely interventions.
- Administer medications and document in the medical record, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with policies.
- Facilitate care planning, participate in rounds, discharge planning, and staff education; support orientation and ongoing development of team members.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and patient safety; report incidents and address quality improvement opportunities.
