About The Position

This travel temporary assignment focuses on high-risk perinatal care within a perinatal unit. The role involves providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns in a maternity-focused setting with NICU capabilities. The assignment is located in Everett, WA, with a start date of 09/21/2026 and a duration of several weeks. The shift pattern is 3x12 Nights.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of Washington (compact RN license must be in hand at submission); WA- or compact-licensed candidates considered.
  • Certifications: BLS (BCLS), ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate OR Relias Fetal Monitoring (all hard stops).
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience; first-time travel RNs accepted; experience in facilities with 200+ deliveries preferred (100–200 deliveries acceptable).
  • Ability to work in a high-risk perinatal setting; willingness to float to postpartum and nearby facilities as needed.
  • Weekend shifts required; Holiday commitment: must work 3 of the 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day).
  • Orientation: 40 hours of pre-start modules.
  • Epic charting experience or proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intrapartum care with 1:1 labor management, sterile vaginal exams, fetal monitoring (external/internal, IUPC), and SVE as required.
  • Assist and circulate for cesarean deliveries; participate in perioperative care and recovery.
  • Neonatal/newborn care, including NRP, newborn assessments, thermoregulation, and transition support.
  • Postpartum and couplet care: hemorrhage management, breastfeeding support, and discharge teaching.
  • Manage high-risk antepartum scenarios (preeclampsia/HELLP, magnesium sulfate, induction/oxytocin, VBAC management) and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Document patient care in the charting system (Epic); collaborate with obstetric, anesthesia, nursing, respiratory, social services, and interpretation teams; participate in continuous quality and safety activities.
