About The Position
This is a travel Registered Nurse (RN) position specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) located in Templeton, California. The assignment is for a 13-week engagement in a short-term acute care setting, starting on 08/31/2026. The role guarantees 36 hours per week with a day shift schedule (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) on a rotating basis. The weekly pay ranges from $2,654 to $2,696. This opportunity is facilitated through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- EPIC experience required
- LDRP model experience
- Ability to manage perinatal emergencies
- Ability to work in a high-acuity perinatal setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their families, including emergency situations and circulating for C-sections.
- Supervise and delegate care to ancillary personnel within scope of practice; collaborate with the health care team to implement a multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plan.
- Assess maternal and fetal well-being, monitor amniotic fluid status, vaginal bleeding, and respond to perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia).
- Manage labor analgesia and pain control; support and implement alternative pain control when appropriate; assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor status during placement and after medication administration.
- Educate patients and families across all stages of perinatal and postpartum care; document care legibly and accurately, including evaluation of patient response.
- Maintain proficiency with the facility’s electronic medical record system and ensure timely, compliant documentation.
