About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Staff Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Lancaster, OH. The assignment is for 8 weeks, starting on 09/28/2026, with a night shift and 36 guaranteed hours per week. The setting is a Short Term Acute Care Hospital.
Requirements
- Current Ohio registered nurse license
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certificate
- CPR certification
- Associate degree in nursing
- Previous RN experience preferred
- Obstetric/L&D experience is desirable
- Ability to work nights in a fast-paced obstetric setting
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills

- BSN preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for obstetric patients using the nursing process.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and execute physician orders with accuracy and safety.
- Monitor fetal status and other patient vitals; respond promptly to changes and notify the physician as needed.
- Educate patients and families from admission through discharge; provide clear, compassionate explanations and support.
- Document the nursing process thoroughly and legibly; ensure equipment and supplies are ready and report any malfunctions.
- Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to nursing assistants, maintaining a collaborative, patient-centered care team.
