About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, located in Reedley, California. The assignment is for a 13-week duration with guaranteed 36 hours per week, and the weekly pay ranges from $2,652 to $2,772. The shift is a night shift, working 3x12s from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, within a critical access hospital's obstetric care setting. Additional hours may be available beyond the guaranteed amount.

Requirements

Active, current RN license in the state of practice (California)
BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor per policy (Required)
BLS certification (facility-specific) from an approved vendor (Required)
AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification (Required)
AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification (Required)
At least two years of recent RN experience in the field; acute care experience preferred
Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting; ability to adapt to a high-acuity obstetric environment
Vaccination requirements per the organization’s policy

Responsibilities

Deliver direct labor and delivery nursing care for laboring and postpartum patients following the nursing process and established standards.
Monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to changes, and administer medications and interventions per orders.
Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff; collaborate with obstetric, anesthesia, neonatal, and other care teams.
Collect assessment data, analyze findings, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
Provide patient and family education on labor, postpartum care, newborn care, breastfeeding, and safety; participate in discharge planning.
Ensure patient safety and infection control; document care and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
