About The Position
This is a Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) position in a clinical labor and delivery care setting. The assignment focuses on antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care. The role is represented by CNA.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (state of practice)
- Experience in Labor and Delivery or perinatal care preferred
- Ability to work nights on a 3x12 schedule
- Capacity to provide care across obstetric phases and respond to emergencies
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for obstetric patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
- Manage emergencies and circulate for C-sections as needed
- Supervise and delegate care to ancillary personnel within scope of practice
- Collaborate with the care team and support families through education and discharge planning
- Maintain patient safety, monitor vitals, and administer medications per orders and protocols
- Document nursing assessments and interventions accurately in the patient record
