About The Position

Registered Nurse – ICU Floating Pool for a 16-week travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. The role supports units within a central ICU float pool; travelers float first and must be flexible with scheduling. This hospital-based travel assignment is in an ICU environment.

Requirements

Active RN license (state as applicable for Vermont travel assignment)
BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required prior to start
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
Prior travel experience required
Flexible, team-focused approach with ability to float to central ICU units and adapt to variable schedules

Nice To Haves

CCRN preferred
hemodynamic device experience and exposure to post-operative cardiac, vascular, neurosurgical, trauma, and related populations recommended

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in the ICU, including monitoring, assessment, and timely escalation of changes in condition
Manage hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator support, medications, and life-sustaining therapies per physician orders and protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, document in the electronic medical record, and ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control practices
Assist with postoperative and high-acuity cases (e.g., post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1) and support overflow of MICU as needed
Perform rounds, implement care plans, and communicate changes to families, while ensuring adherence to AHA guidelines and unit policies
