About The Position

This is a temporary, travel-care role through Healthforce Healthcare LLC for a Registered Nurse - ICU in Burlington, Vermont. The assignment is for 16 weeks in an ICU unit within a hospital setting, with a shift pattern of 3x12-hour Nights. The role utilizes an ICU float pool model with required LOA/floating, and an every-other-weekend commitment is expected. Weekly pay ranges from $2,513 to $2,630.

Requirements

Active RN license (as applicable for practice)
Certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required; NIHSS required prior to start
Minimum 2 years ICU experience
Completion of an approved nursing program (RN)
EPIC experience within the past 2 years
Hemodynamic device experience
Able to work in a large, teaching facility environment
Flexible scheduling and floating within central ICU pool
Reliable transportation due to local commuting constraints

Nice To Haves

CCRN preferred
Prior travel experience preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to high-acuity ICU patients, including post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma, neurosurgery cases, and overflow MICU populations.
Monitor hemodynamic status, operate or manage invasive devices as appropriate, and respond quickly to patient condition changes.
Administer medications, perform ICU procedures per protocol, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
Document care and outcomes in EPIC within the past 2 years, maintain accurate charts, and communicate changes to the care team.
Collaborate with physicians, APRNs, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans; participate in unit float rotations as required.
Adhere to AHA guidelines (BLS, ACLS) and NIHSS assessment requirements; maintain infection control and PPE compliance.
