About The Position

This is a travel assignment for an ER Registered Nurse in Atlanta, Georgia, for a 13-week duration. The role is in a very busy acute care hospital ER setting, with potential to float to adjacent units such as med/surg, stepdown, or ICU as needed. The assignment offers guaranteed hours and support throughout the engagement.

Requirements

Active RN license valid in Georgia (or eligible for licensure in Georgia)
Minimum 2 years ED experience in a facility of similar size and acuity (e.g., Level 1 trauma facility)
Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
Resume with no gaps, ED skills checklist, and ED references on file
Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment and float to adjacent units as needed

Responsibilities

Provide direct emergency nursing care to ED patients, including initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and treatment planning.
Triage, stabilize, and manage a variety of presenting conditions; administer medications and perform procedures within scope.
Collaborate with ED physicians, charge nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient flow, admissions, discharges, and boarder management.
Maintain patient safety and quality of care; respond to code events as trained; monitor vital signs and airway management as needed.
Document care accurately in the medical record; ensure ED charting is complete and compliant.
May be required to float to adjacent acute care units (e.g., med/surg, stepdown, ICU) depending on staffing and patient needs.
