About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) located in Rochester, New York. The assignment is for 17 weeks, with a start date of 09/28/2026. The role is in a hospital-based Emergency Department, specifically a high-volume, adult ED environment. The position offers rotating 12-hour shifts and a weekly pay range of $2,168-$2,276.
Requirements
- NY RN license (active) only
- Two (2) years ED experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Prior travel ER experience required
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
- ER travel assignment not available for first-time travelers
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced adult Emergency Department
- Perform comprehensive assessments, triage, monitoring, and documentation; manage telemetry as indicated
- Administer medications, evaluate responses, and intervene for acute conditions (trauma, cardiac events, and others)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and assist with high-acuity patient care, including code or trauma activations
- Support patient flow, discharge planning, and patient/family education; participate in care coordination for border patients as needed
- Ensure accurate charting and adherence to clinical protocols, patient safety, and infection control standards
