About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse assignment for an Emergency Room (ER) position in Sonora, California. The role involves working in a high-acuity care environment, delivering care within an emergency department context, and coordinating with various care teams. The assignment is for a 13-week contract with night shifts.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California (or state of practice as applicable to this assignment)
• ER nursing experience or demonstrated competence in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Ability to work nights and adapt to a high-acuity environment
• Strong assessment skills and proficiency with charting/EMR systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate multidisciplinary care

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to changes in condition.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, including delegation and supervision across shifts.
• Coordinate care with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive, safe patient care plans.
• Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in daily patient care and discharge planning.
