About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse - ER assignment in Sonora, CA, for a 13-week duration. The role is in a short-term acute care hospital setting and emphasizes rapid assessment, efficient care coordination, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity emergency department. The assignment begins on 09/21/2026, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week, working a 3x12 night shift schedule (6:30 PM–7:00 AM).

Requirements

Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
At least two years of recent ER or acute care experience
CPR/BLS and ACLS and PALS from approved vendors (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) required
EPIC EHR experience required
Ability to work nights in a fast-paced ER environment

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care to ER patients using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with thorough documentation.
Collect and analyze patient and family data to identify health issues and develop individualized care plans with measurable outcomes.
Coordinate and delegate clinical tasks to licensed and unlicensed team members; collaborate with physicians and other disciplines to expedite care.
Administer medications, monitor for adverse reactions, perform procedures within scope, and respond to emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
Participate in discharge planning from admission through discharge, provide patient/family education, and ensure continuity of care across transitions.
Maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment while upholding infection control practices, patient safety standards, and HIPAA privacy.
