About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department located in Utica, New York. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 10/12/2026. The position offers a weekly pay range of $2,453–$2,597 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The shift is a night shift, 12 hours long, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., within a hospital setting.

Requirements

Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification; RTO requests must be included at submission; driver’s license with address that matches demographics
Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC in hand
ED nursing experience: 2+ years; some pediatric experience; travel experience required
EPIC EMR experience or strong proficiency with similar EMR systems
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; willingness to float to related ED areas as needed

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the ED for pediatric and adult patients, including initial assessment, triage, monitoring, medication administration, and discharge planning.
Monitor patients for clinical changes, interpret vital signs, respond to emergencies, and participate in rapid responses or codes as needed.
Document care in the EPIC electronic medical record with accurate, complete data; ensure documentation aligns with nursing standards.
Collaborate with physicians, the charge nurse, and the care team to optimize patient flow, bed management, and handoffs.
Float to related ED areas as required; operate unit equipment (e.g., Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun) and manage care for diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
