About The Position

This travel assignment is in a hospital setting and requires the ability to lead and coordinate care as a unit charge nurse within a multidisciplinary team. The role involves serving as the unit charge nurse, coordinating patient assignments and staffing for a smooth shift flow, delivering direct patient care and supervision to licensed and unlicensed staff in an acute care setting, assessing patients, monitoring status, administering medications and treatments per orders, and responding to changes in condition. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care plans, document care accurately in the electronic record system, and ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and professional standards. The position also requires upholding the patient voice and advocating for service excellence while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (education appropriate for RN licensure)
• Ability to perform in an acute care setting and contribute as a unit charge nurse
• Comfort working night shifts and 12-hour scheduling
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional standards as outlined by state and national guidelines
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
