About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy (Endo RN) in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting located in Geneva, NY. The assignment is for 23 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026. The role involves providing high-quality, compassionate care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in a structured call rotation. The position focuses on pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure recovery, along with patient education and infection prevention.

Requirements

Active NYS Registered Nurse licensure
Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy (Endo) RN experience
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIHSS (as applicable)
Ability to work in an Endoscopy-procedural environment and participate in a call rotation
Willingness to travel and commit to a 23-week assignment

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in the Endoscopy/Procedure area, including pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure recovery for adults, adolescents, and geriatrics.
Assess patient needs, develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the care team, monitor progress, and adjust as conditions change.
Administer medications and monitor responses; support the endoscopy team during procedures with appropriate preparation and documentation.
Educate patients and families about procedure expectations, self-care, and post-discharge needs to support recovery and safety at home.
Maintain infection prevention practices, ensure accurate documentation, and participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
Manage shift duties within a 6:30–7:30 a.m. start window, and fulfill call responsibilities with timely response.
