About The Position

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent wound care experience
AHA BLS certification
CWON or CWOCN certification required
Wound care certifications: WCC, CWS, or CWCN required
Ability to work 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with 40 hours per week
Geographic eligibility: no local candidates within 50 miles

Responsibilities

Provide specialized wound care management for adult patients, including wound assessments, dressing changes, measurements, and progression tracking per clinical protocols.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary wound care team to develop and adjust treatment plans; document patient progress in the electronic health record.
Provide ostomy/continence care support as applicable; coordinate with WOC colleagues; educate patients and families on management and care routines.
Monitor for signs of infection, complications, and pain; implement evidence-based wound care approaches and safety precautions.
Communicate clearly with physicians, case management, and other care team members to ensure continuity of care and timely discharge planning.
Maintain adherence to AHA BLS guidelines and institutional infection control standards; participate in ongoing professional practice and quality improvement activities.
