About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position in Ambulatory Care located in Bethel, Alaska. It is a temporary assignment for 13 weeks, with a start date of 09/29/2026. The role involves hospital-based patient care in an ambulatory care environment. The position offers fast credentialing, dedicated support throughout the assignment, housing assistance, and 24/7 recruiter travel support. Optional extension opportunities are also available.

Requirements

Current, valid Alaska Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing; ability to practice per Alaska RN standards.
Completion of a nursing education program from an NLN-approved institution.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to work in a hospital environment, apply the nursing process, and collaborate across disciplines.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow professional guidelines and procedures; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination required.

One year of healthcare experience as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on standard nursing practice; collaborate with other health professionals to provide quality, cost-effective care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Serve as a resource and apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in rendering patient care.
Administer treatments and medications, interpret diagnostic tests, provide patient and family education, and document care activities.
Utilize basic EKG skills and relevant medical equipment as appropriate for the position.
Supervise unit staff such as secretaries and clinical support personnel in collaboration with the Charge Nurse as needed.
