About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) in Templeton, California. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with a 36-hour workweek, consisting of 12-hour day shifts. The role is in an inpatient critical care setting and is represented by CNA.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in good standing (state of practice as applicable for the assignment) and ability to obtain licensure in the required jurisdiction if needed.
  • Prior CCU/critical care nursing experience preferred.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS as applicable to CCU practice may be required or preferred.
  • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a high-acuity inpatient CCU setting; strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with licensed and unlicensed staff; comfortable within a CNA-represented environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to standards of care.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior CCU/critical care nursing experience
  • ACLS as applicable to CCU practice may be required or preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients in the CCU.
  • Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care to the care team and support staff as appropriate.
  • Monitor patient status, administer prescribed therapies and medications, respond to changes in condition, and document findings accurately.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety, care quality, and timely achievement of clinical goals.
  • Ensure adherence to established Standards of Nursing Practice and facility policies; participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Educate patients and families as appropriate and promote cooperation among the health care team; maintain clear, comprehensive documentation.
