About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a CCU/critical care unit located in Templeton, California. The role involves providing direct patient care, coordinating and managing patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team, monitoring patient status, administering medications, ensuring patient safety and infection control, educating patients and families, and supporting lower-acuity staff. The assignment is represented by CNA and offers a shift of Days, 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in California
CCU/critical care nursing experience or demonstrated proficiency in high-acuity patient care
Ability to work days, 12-hour shifts in a travel assignment (approximately 36 hours per week)
Willingness to commit to a 13-week assignment
Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to CCU patients, including ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care in collaboration with physicians, unit leadership, and other team members
Maintain adherence to established Standards of Nursing Practice and promote cooperation among the health care team
Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, administer medications per care plans, and document outcomes in the electronic health record
Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance with clinical protocols; participate in rounds and care coordination discussions
Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and support lower-acuity staff as appropriate
