About The Position

This is a Travel Registered Nurse position in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) located in Templeton, California. The contract is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 08/31/2026. The role involves providing professional nursing care for high-acuity CCU patients, coordinating and managing patient care, maintaining nursing standards, documenting patient status, and communicating with patients and families. The position requires collaboration in interdisciplinary rounds and alignment with unit goals. This role is represented by CNA.

Requirements

  • Professional RN duties as described for CCU patients, with the ability to work in a hospital CCU environment.
  • Active RN licensure in California or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state.
  • Ability to perform 12-hour day shifts and adjust to a travel assignment across a CCU setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior CCU or critical care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care for high-acuity CCU patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care in collaboration with the health care team to ensure safety and quality.
  • Maintain established Standards of Nursing Practice and promote cooperation among the care team.
  • Document patient status, monitor for changes, and escalate concerns promptly.
  • Communicate with patients and families to support education, consent, and care transitions; participate in discharge planning.
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary rounds and ensure alignment with unit goals.
