Travel Nursing Instructor- New York Area
About The Position
Kaplan North America is hiring master's-prepared nurses to teach NCLEX preparation classes at different locations throughout the New York area. Travel locations may include Staten Island, Newburgh, Albany, Syracuse, Queens, Rochester, and Manhattan. This PRN position offers the opportunity to support future nurses as they prepare for the NCLEX. Instructors receive paid training, use a pre-existing curriculum, and have access to ongoing development to strengthen their teaching, presenting, and mentoring skills. In addition to classroom instruction, instructors may separately support students through Kaplan Learning Integrated Coaching (KLIC), providing individualized guidance by email based on student progress through Kaplan materials. Travel lead time, locations, and dates are determined by business needs and availability.
Requirements
- MSN, or BSN with a master's degree required.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
- At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Travel is required; lead time, locations, and dates are determined by business needs and availability.

- Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management.
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and ongoing instructional meetings as required.
