About The Position

Kaplan North America is hiring master's-prepared nurses to teach NCLEX preparation classes at different locations across the United States. The role offers the opportunity to support future nurses as they prepare for the NCLEX. Instructors receive paid training, teach from a pre-existing curriculum, and have access to ongoing development to strengthen their teaching, presenting, and mentoring skills. There may also be an opportunity to take on a separate, related role as a Kaplan Learning Integrated Coaching (KLIC) Coach, providing students individualized guidance by email based on their progress through Kaplan materials. Travel locations, dates, and lead time are determined by business needs and availability.

Requirements

• MSN, or BSN with a master's degree.
• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel; locations and dates are determined by business needs and availability.

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple in-person NCLEX preparation sessions at various locations throughout the year.
• Maintain a high energy level and engage students to ensure an excellent student experience.
• Facilitate learning and learner development effectively.
• Learn Kaplan's methodology and strategies quickly.
• Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management.
• Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and ongoing instructional meetings as required.
