Travel Nursing Instructor- New Jersey Area
About The Position
Kaplan North America is hiring master's-prepared nurses for its New Jersey travel teaching team. The instructor travels to locations throughout New Jersey, including potentially Newark and Jersey City, to teach in-person NCLEX preparation classes. This PRN role offers the opportunity to support future nurses and develop teaching, presenting, and mentoring skills. Instructors receive paid training, use a pre-existing curriculum, and have access to ongoing professional development. A separate, related opportunity is available to support students as a virtual Kaplan Learning Integrated Coaching (KLIC) Coach, providing individualized email guidance based on student progress through Kaplan materials. Travel locations, dates, and lead time are determined by business needs and availability.
Requirements
- MSN, or BSN with a master's degree.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
- At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Travel is required; timing and locations depend on business needs and availability.

Responsibilities
- Teach multiple in-person NCLEX preparation sessions at various locations throughout the year.

- Facilitate learning and learner development effectively.
- Learn Kaplan's methodology and strategies quickly.
- Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management.
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and ongoing instructional meetings as required.
