About The Position

Kaplan North America is hiring master’s-prepared nurses for its Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regional travel teaching team. The instructor travels to different locations across the United States to teach NCLEX preparation classes. Primary locations served include Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia, and West Virginia, among others. The role offers an opportunity to support future nurses as they prepare for the NCLEX. Travel lead time, locations, and dates are determined by business needs and availability.

Teachers receive paid training, use a pre-existing curriculum, and have access to ongoing development to strengthen teaching, presenting, and mentoring skills. In addition to classroom instruction, there is a separate but related opportunity to provide individualized guidance to students through Kaplan’s virtual Kaplan Learning Integrated Coaching (KLIC) program.

The position is described as PRN. The location is listed as Remote/Nationwide, USA, while the work includes in-person instruction at various locations.

Requirements

• MSN or BSN with a master’s degree required.
• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel; lead time, locations, and dates are determined by business needs and availability.

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple in-person NCLEX preparation sessions at various locations throughout the year.
• Maintain a high energy level and engage students to provide an excellent student experience.
• Facilitate learning and learner development effectively.
• Learn Kaplan’s methodology and strategies quickly.
• Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management.
• Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and ongoing instructional meetings as required.
