About The Position
The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator plans, coordinates, and evaluates the Division of Trauma’s performance improvement program. The role maintains compliance with requirements from the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS-COT) and the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (NJDOH). The coordinator also assists trauma leadership in identifying actual or potential system, process, and product issues that need to be addressed.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of New Jersey.
- At least five years of progressive nursing experience, including recent experience in performance improvement and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency with computers and related systems.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in a health-related field.
Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate the Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) program.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with ACS-COT and NJDOH regulatory standards.
- Partner with trauma leadership to identify and address system and process improvement opportunities.
- Assist trauma leadership in identifying actual or potential system, process, and product issues requiring attention.
