Transporter, Day Shift, Internal Transporters
About The Position
Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Transporter for its Internal Transport Department. The role supports the organization’s mission to provide physical, mental, and spiritual healing by transporting patients to and from locations in the hospital. Other duties include organizing and distributing schedules, maintaining transportation supplies, and assisting on nursing units when available. The position is full-time, works 40 hours per week on a day shift, and follows the company holiday calendar. The typical schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with every other weekend worked.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to prioritize and report observed changes in patient condition or behavior to an RN.
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Ability to effectively convey information when speaking with others.
