About The Position

The Transportation Dispatcher communicates with drivers and sales staff to ensure timely deliveries and pickups, follows up on questions or concerns, and assists warehouse staff with picking and packing, will calls, pick-up-now orders (PKs), and truck orders. The role monitors sales orders throughout the shift and makes same-day adjustments to routes and truck assignments so routes are completed on time. It also supports route-efficiency improvements, completes paperwork and data entry, assists with second-run deliveries, and serves as a liaison among drivers, sales associates, and customers. The dispatcher helps pick, check, and load trucks and supports special delivery requests and pickups. The role is based in Phoenix, Arizona, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Good math and reading skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of warehouse operations and powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

Communicate with drivers and sales staff to ensure timely deliveries and pickups, and follow up on questions or concerns.
Monitor sales orders during the shift and make same-day route and truck adjustments to ensure routes are completed on time.
Assist management with improving route efficiency.
Complete paperwork, documentation, and data input according to established procedures.
Assist drivers with second-run deliveries (OT-2), including picking and loading trucks.
Assist the city desk with will calls and pick-up-now orders (PKs).
Serve as a liaison between drivers, sales associates, and customers to support smooth deliveries.
Support sales staff with same-day special delivery requests, pickups, and on-time deliveries.
Assist warehouse staff with picking, checking, and loading trucks as directed by the shift manager or lead.
Act in a helpful and cooperative manner toward customers and associates.
