Transportation Billing & Planning Specialist
About The Position
The Transportation Billing & Planning Specialist helps formulate business plans for the transportation department and manage its revenue and profit. The role verifies performance with customers and carriers, issues customer invoices, receives and registers carrier invoices, and maintains records in the transportation management system (TMS). The specialist works with internal finance and accounting teams to maintain and verify accurate records and handles other administrative and planning tasks. This is a full-time, on-site position in Ellabell, Georgia. The role supports logistics operations serving a major automotive production facility and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and global partners.
Requirements
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis-response capabilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with warehouse operations or Tier-1 automotive (or similar) inbound logistics.
- Knowledge of MES, TMS, WMS, or other logistics or transportation systems.
Responsibilities
- Establish the transportation department’s annual business plan.
- Manage sales and purchase performance for the transportation department.
- Manage the issuance of customer invoices.
- Receive carrier invoices and register them in the system.
- Manage records in the TMS system and work with finance and accounting to maintain and verify accurate records.
- Perform other administrative and planning tasks.
