About The Position

The Transport Driver works in the Adult Day Health Program, providing safe and reliable transportation so participants can stay active, connected, and engaged in their community. The role transports older adults and individuals with rehabilitation needs, dementia, or intellectual and developmental disabilities between their homes, the day center, appointments, and community programs. The driver also assists passengers with boarding, securing themselves in, and exiting the vehicle; completes daily vehicle checks; maintains vehicle cleanliness; and reports maintenance or service needs. The position supports day program staff with participant care, activities, meals, and general assistance. This is a full-time position at Brockton Med Adult Day Center in Brockton, Massachusetts. The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, on the day shift, with no evenings or on-call shifts. The wage is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Fluent in English.
At least 21 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Full, valid Massachusetts driver’s license held for at least two years.
Valid vehicle registration and insurance.
Pass a required background check and drug screening before hire.
Compassionate, dependable, and a strong communicator.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience driving a 14-passenger van or bus, or providing passenger transportation.
