Transplant Surgeon | Ohio

Emerald Resource Group•Columbus, OH

About The Position

Lead complex solid-organ transplants from referral through recovery, with the goal of improving graft survival, reducing time to transplant, and making multidisciplinary decisions patients and families can trust. Success is measured by lives extended, complications avoided, and consistent program performance under pressure. The surgeon evaluates and lists transplant candidates, performs kidney, liver, or other assigned solid-organ transplants and related procedures, and leads perioperative and early postoperative care. The role directs donor-offer and organ-acceptance decisions, coordinates multidisciplinary care, contributes to quality and protocol improvement, and teaches residents, fellows, and advanced practice clinicians. The position is part of a multidisciplinary transplant service supported by dedicated coordinators, operating-room access, ICU beds, organ-procurement partnerships, modern surgical, imaging, and immunosuppression resources, and quality and data support. The surgeon reports to the transplant program’s surgical leadership and shares call with a defined surgical team.
