About The Position

TransPerfect is expanding its database of freelance linguists who translate between Korean and English for Investment Banking market commentary. Linguists prepare and finalize translated materials before delivery to clients, handling documents for a variety of clients in the Investment Banking sector. The work is performed under the guidance of a manager and in collaboration with Project Managers, and may be done remotely from anywhere in the world.

Applicants must complete translation and MTPE tests and sign a confidentiality agreement. Applicants should submit a current CV detailing relevant translation and MTPE experience, along with their proposed translation rate per word and MTPE hourly rate in USD. Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Korean and English.
• Specialization in Investment Banking market commentary.
• Acute attention to detail, spelling, and grammar.
• Ability to remain professional in all situations, especially under tight deadlines.
• Meet at least one of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or an equivalent degree with significant translation training) from a recognized higher education institution; a college degree and two years of translation experience; five years of translation experience without a college degree; or a translation competence certificate awarded by an appropriate government body.
• Sign a confidentiality agreement and complete translation and MTPE tests.
• Submit a current CV including relevant translation and MTPE experience and proposed translation per-word and MTPE hourly rates in USD.
