About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Transfer Driver to transport equipment to and from repair shops and between U-Haul centers and dealerships, helping keep its fleet maintained and available for customers. Drivers use U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. The company provides support, tools, and on-the-job training, with opportunities for career growth. The role pays $16.90 to $19.00 per hour and is located at 11351 Pyrites Wy, Rancho Cordova, California 95670. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts, including working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Protective gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required. Physical activity includes spending long periods indoors and outdoors while stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving at least 50 pounds with or without assistance.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use mobile transfer programs.
• D.O.T. certification if required; U-Haul can sponsor certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Complete receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
• Transport U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.
• Perform visual inspections of equipment.
• Maintain a driver log.
• Assist in additional areas as needed, following the directives and guidance of a supervisor.
