About The Position
U-Haul is hiring a Transfer Driver to transport equipment to and from repair shops and support the maintenance of its fleet. Drivers use U-Haul’s proprietary mobile technology to assess and care for field vehicles, helping ensure equipment is maintained and available for customers. The position is based at 90 Monocacy Blvd, Frederick, Maryland. Compensation is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. U-Haul offers a paid hands-on working interview and a $100 hiring bonus.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to use mobile transfer programs.
- D.O.T. certification if required; U-Haul may sponsor the certification.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Must be legally authorized to work and not require employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Complete receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
- Transport U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.
- Perform visual inspections of equipment.
- Maintain a driver log.
- Assist in additional areas as needed, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
