About The Position

The Oncology Program Trainer plays a key role in strengthening and advancing reimbursement knowledge across the program to support exceptional patient access outcomes. While the program benefits from strong nursing and clinical leadership, this position is focused on enhancing foundational reimbursement expertise across both the RCM and Nurse Navigator teams, including benefit investigations, explanation of benefits (EOB) interpretation, and revenue cycle management (RCM) fundamentals. Using adult learning principles, the Program Trainer will facilitate engaging and effective training programs utilizing manufacturer-provided and client approved materials to build team confidence and capability in reimbursement processes. In addition, the role will proactively identify opportunities for content enhancements and communicate update recommendations to key stakeholders based on learner feedback, program evolution, and changing payer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in health sciences, business, or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly develop strong working relationships with others
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • 5 years of experience required working in or with the pharmaceutical industry
  • A minimum of 5 years of training roles with experience in delivering didactic content and facilitating adult learning programs
  • Strong working knowledge of reimbursement fundamentals including benefit investigations, EOB interpretation, and revenue cycle management (RCM) processes
  • 5 years of insurance experience; PACS or CCM preferred
  • Telephony patient experience required; 5 years preferred
  • 2 to 5 years of Salesforce experience

  • Candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person and/or virtual training to program team members using manufacturer-provided and client approved materials
  • Deliver reimbursement fundamentals training covering benefit investigations, EOB interpretation, and RCM basics for both RCM and Nurse Navigator team members
  • Support training alignment with manufacturer-provided and client approved content, incorporating or leveraging manufacturer materials where applicable
  • Communicate training content gaps or update needs to the appropriate client and internal stakeholders, in alignment with manufacturer-provided and client approved content standards
  • Support the training team in the maintenance and delivery of existing manufacturer-provided and client approved training materials
  • Update the knowledge management system to ensure it holds the most up-to-date program and reimbursement information
  • Facilitate new hire training and skills development classes for both RCM and Nurse Navigator populations
  • Coordinate and deliver reimbursement compliance training updates and skills refresher classes
  • Track new hire and annual compliance training completion as needed
  • Provide follow-up for all new hire classes at 30 days and 60 days post training to ensure that skills have transferred to the job
  • Document areas of concern for all trainees and review results with Training and Development Manager
  • Pursue ongoing professional development in training delivery through attendance of webinars and meetings for training professionals
  • Confers with management to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training for employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies
  • Determines appropriate instructional methods to use in a variety of settings (e.g., group instruction, workshops, individual training)
  • Selects appropriate manufacturer-provided and client approved training resources and facilitates supplemental exercises such as reimbursement workflow simulations and payer scenario practice
  • On time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures governing access to confidential data
  • Ensure all SOPs are followed with consistency
  • Conducts miscellaneous tasks or projects as assigned
  • Provide in-person and/or virtual training, with enthusiasm and high energy, to program team members using manufacturer-provided and client approved materials
