About The Position

The Training and Compliance Manager develops and implements comprehensive training programs for staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and service standards in the airport and aviation industry. The role reviews and updates training materials to reflect evolving regulations and best practices, conducts audits and assessments to verify compliance with internal policies and external requirements, and addresses identified gaps. The manager works with departments to identify training needs and create tailored programs that support employee performance, passenger safety, and a culture of continuous learning and compliance awareness. The role also leads and manages the training and compliance team, maintains training and compliance records, and liaises with regulatory agencies and external auditors during reviews and audits. Airlines operate 24/7, so flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
Must hold a valid driver's license.
Must communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Minimum of three years of training experience.
Several years of management or supervisory experience.
Knowledge of the aviation industry.
Ability to lead a team of trainers and manage performance and accountability.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including using iPads or tablets, computers, and mobile devices.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients in person and electronically.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Must be eligible to acquire required credentials and clearances, as applicable, including FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal credentials.
Must be flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to perform the essential requirements satisfactorily; reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to hear and respond to spoken voices and audible alarms.
Ability to perform repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Develop and oversee training programs for all employees to ensure compliance with airport regulations and service standards.
Conduct training needs analyses to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Create and update training materials and manuals to reflect current industry practices and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for various departments.
Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness and implement improvements.
Ensure employees receive mandatory training required for compliance with national and international aviation standards.
Conduct compliance audits and inspections to identify deviations from required standards.
Implement corrective actions and follow-up measures to address non-compliance.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date training and compliance records for audit purposes.
Collaborate with management and operational teams to integrate training and compliance initiatives into daily operations.
Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry standards affecting airport operations.
Foster continuous learning and compliance awareness among employees.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and external auditors during compliance reviews and audits.
Provide departments with guidance and support on compliance-related matters.
Lead and manage the training and compliance team, including setting goals and evaluating performance.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
