About The Position

Keystone Bluffs is a senior living community in Duluth, Minnesota, with 80 apartments and a focus on providing compassionate, quality care to residents. The Trained Medication Aide administers medications and treatments in accordance with facility policy, monitors residents, documents care, and assists with resident care as needed. The position is part-time or full-time, with an evening schedule of 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and rotating weekends. The community is on a bus route.

Requirements

Complete a standardized medication administration training program for unlicensed personnel in nursing homes through a Minnesota postsecondary educational institution.
Hold current certification and be listed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
Be at least 18 years old, except that individuals under 18 may be considered if they have a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license, in accordance with applicable regulations.
Be able to lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a Trained Medication Aide (TMA) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments according to the facility’s medication policy.
Record and restock medication inventories and process discontinued medication as directed by the Director of Nursing (DON).
Measure and record vital signs, including pulse, temperature, and blood pressure.
Observe resident behavior and report changes in condition or behavior to a supervisor.
Complete necessary forms, charts, and reports descriptively and submit them as required.
Report medication administration errors.
Review and follow written care plans.
Assist with caring for residents when needed.
Perform other duties as requested.
