About The Position

The Traffic Coordinator manages and optimizes corporate fleet operations and freight movements. The role coordinates shipments, maintains accurate records, and supports compliance with safety and regulatory standards. It works with carriers, vendors, and logistics hubs to improve efficiency, resolve freight issues, and maintain accurate tracking and reporting systems. The position is full-time, Shift 1 - 9, and has a starting hiring range of $27.00 per hour. Team members receive a $0.50 per hour increase at six months and another $0.50 per hour increase at one year. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and skills. Quarterly and holiday bonuses are available. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to manage computerized records.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Strong experience in freight administration, logistics, and record-keeping.
• Knowledge of freight tracking, scheduling, OSHA regulations, and transportation laws.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and handle freight movements, including warehouse transfers, vendor pick-ups, and store-opening orders.
• Maintain carrier files and pricing information, and update transportation databases.
• Prepare shipper summary reports and communicate with customers in a timely manner.
• Audit freight bills, confirm rates, and resolve discrepancies with carriers.
• Handle vehicle compliance with safety policies and government regulations, including insurance and registration documentation.
• Collaborate with regional distribution centers to develop guidelines for lane optimization.
• Plan carrier selection, driver assignments, and equipment needs.
