About The Position

The Traffic Controller directs vehicles entering and leaving the casino, including traffic to and from valet and self-parking areas. The role requires providing professional, friendly customer service and maintaining a professional work environment while following Seneca Gaming Corporation policies, procedures, Internal Control Standards, and information security requirements. The position operates according to a 24-hour schedule, and duties and expectations may change as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old upon employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to the company’s liability insurance carrier.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers and employees.
• Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform the listed physical activities, including balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
• Must have visual acuity for general observations of facilities and for operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment when performing other Transportation department duties.
• Must maintain physical stamina and a proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community.

• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming and outgoing vehicles to and from the valet and self-parking areas.
• Understand and comply with information security policies and procedures, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate pleasantly, professionally, and in a friendly manner.
• Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
• Meet attendance guidelines and follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Complete all required Seneca Gaming Corporation training programs within nine months of commencing employment.
• Attend necessary meetings.
