About The Position

The Traffic Controller is responsible for the supervision and success of the Deerfield, Florida transfer station. The role directs traffic and equipment movement, coordinates with Dispatch, supervises and trains drivers, and supports efficient site operations. The Traffic Controller enforces safety procedures, conducts inspections, ensures compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, and manages heavy equipment operations and maintenance. Tarping is required.

The position is performed in a fast-paced outdoor environment with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and waste materials. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in waste management, logistics, or operations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and in varying weather conditions with exposure to noise, dust, and waste materials.
• Ability to sustain physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Ability to operate machinery and perform site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform required tarping.
