About The Position

Learn And Play Schools is seeking a Toddler Teacher for its Pleasant Hill campus. The teacher provides a warm, patient, and understanding presence in the classroom, encouraging children to learn, play, and grow. The school uses an individualized, STEM-integrated, play-based curriculum to nurture children's social, physical, verbal, and cognitive development and support each child's individual learning journey. Building meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues is an important part of supporting the school's success.

Requirements

• Complete 12 core ECE units and an infant/toddler course.
• Hold a Child Care Developmental Associate (CDA) Credential.
• Be willing to change diapers.
• Have strong customer service skills.
• Be able to multitask and remain organized.
• Be able to work within regular operating hours.
• Meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and play.
• Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals related to enrollment, accreditation, growth, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
• Implement the play-based, STEM-focused curriculum to support each child's individual growth and learning journey.
