About The Position
Learn And Play Schools is hiring a Preschool Teacher at its Pleasant Hill campus. Teachers create a warm, supportive classroom where children can learn, play, and grow. The school uses an individualized, play-based, STEM-integrated curriculum that supports children’s social, physical, verbal, and cognitive development. Teachers build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues and contribute to the success of the school.
Requirements
- Complete 12 core ECE units and an infant/toddler course.
- Hold a Child Care Developmental Associate (CDA) Credential.
- Be willing to change diapers.
- Have strong customer service skills.
- Be able to multitask and remain organized.
- Be able to work within regular operating hours.
- Meet state criteria for child care employment.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and play.
- Partner with parents to provide care and education for their children.
- Work with center staff and leadership toward goals related to enrollment, accreditation, growth, and engagement.
- Build positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
- Implement the play-based, STEM-focused curriculum, tailoring it to each child’s growth and learning journey.
