About The Position

Park Schools Montessori is seeking a caring, dependable, and motivated Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is interested in growing professionally in a Montessori environment. The Toddler Teacher Assistant will work closely with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, organized, and engaging classroom experience. We are especially interested in candidates who would like to develop their teaching skills and potentially run their own classroom in the future.

Requirements

• Patient, nurturing, dependable, and professional
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn Montessori practices and classroom procedures
• Interest in professional growth and developing the skills needed to eventually lead a classroom is highly encouraged

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with toddlers or young children preferred
• Montessori experience is a plus, but not required
• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
• Support Montessori lessons and hands-on learning experiences
• Supervise and engage toddlers throughout the school day
• Assist with meals, toileting/diapering, transitions, and other care routines as needed
• Encourage independence, social-emotional development, and positive classroom behavior
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
• Communicate professionally with children, families, teachers, and staff
• Support classroom preparation and end-of-day routines
