About The Position

The Tire Sales and Installation team member assists members in selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay sales and service documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires; maintaining the tire bay and waiting area; managing supplies and tire displays; and providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk. The team member also follows club safety and cleanliness standards, supports members’ tire needs, fills propane tanks when certified under DOT requirements, and may perform duties in other departments as assigned. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

• Prior tire installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.
• Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires, and perform tire repairs.
• Properly dispose of tires and fill propane tanks as needed when certified under DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean, professional tire bay and waiting area, and merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Provide knowledgeable service at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
• Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory and use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Follow safety, cleanliness, equipment-use, club policy, and procedure requirements.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
