About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a part-time Tire Sales and Installation team member. The role assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, verifies tire sizes for vehicles, and properly installs and repairs tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing. The team member completes tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders, maintains an accurate supply inventory, and uses available special-order tire programs appropriately. The position also includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, coordinating with the Home Office about member tire needs when needed, disposing of tires, and filling propane tanks when certified under DOT requirements.

The team member maintains a clean, professional tire bay and waiting area; merchandises tire displays and automotive products; follows safety, cleanliness, club, and compliance procedures; and properly uses tire bay equipment. Other duties may be assigned, including work in other departments. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function. The role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus, paid as $500 after six months and $500 after 12 months. The stated pay range is $18.50–$23.13.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.

• Comply with safety and cleanliness standards, club policies and procedures, and properly use tire bay equipment.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments.
• Deliver member service, address and escalate member concerns as appropriate, and contribute to a safe, positive, inclusive team environment.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
