About The Position

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations. This role involves leveraging digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement. You will also be responsible for operating cash registers, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate inventory. Additionally, you will identify member needs, assist with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues and concerns. The role also emphasizes being a brand advocate, developing, influencing, and inspiring others, and working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented. You will comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, and complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources. Embracing differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences is key to creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected. Strengthening the team by helping, developing, and mentoring others, and recognizing their contributions and accomplishments is also a core aspect of this role. Requirements

  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests.
  • Educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, and mentor new technicians.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, and equipment operations.
  • Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales and improve the service experience.
  • Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to the TBC Lead.
  • Track and monitor returns and special orders.
  • Operate cash registers and process transactions.
  • Work hands-on in the physical area, maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Audit safety and compliance standards.
  • Report TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas.
  • Complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
  • Ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify member needs and assist members with purchasing decisions and resolving issues and concerns.
  • Act as a brand advocate by valuing the members' experience in the TBC area and modeling high-quality service and products.
  • Develop, influence, and inspire others for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented.
  • Understand roadblocks and assist in training team members.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
