About The Position

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations. This role involves leveraging digital tools, operating cash registers, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate inventory. You will also be responsible for identifying member needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, and resolving issues and concerns. The position requires acting as a brand advocate, developing and influencing others, and upholding company policies and standards of ethics and integrity. You will also be responsible for completing work assignments and priorities, adapting to change, and learning from feedback. Embracing differences, creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected, and helping attract the best talent are key aspects of this role. Strengthening the team by helping, developing, and mentoring others, recognizing contributions, and acting in a selfless, humble, self-aware, honest, fair, and transparent manner are also important. Requirements

  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team members to fulfill sales and service requests.
  • Educates other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentors new technicians.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, and equipment operations.
  • Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales and improve the service experience.
  • Communicates equipment, tools, and supplies needs to the TBC Lead.
  • Tracks and monitors returns and special orders.
  • Operates cash registers and processes transactions.
  • Works hands-on in the physical area, maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Audits safety and compliance standards.
  • Reports TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas.
  • Completes paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
  • Ensures merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identifies member needs and assists members with purchasing decisions and resolves issues and concerns.
  • Acts as a brand advocate by valuing the members experience in the TBC area and modeling high-quality service and products.
  • Develops, influences, and inspires others for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented.
  • Understands roadblocks and assists in training team members.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
