About The Position

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department, aiming to deliver more value to members. This role involves collaborating with other associates to ensure the club meets member expectations. Key aspects include being a team member by fulfilling sales and service requests, educating and mentoring new technicians, and developing interpersonal skills for customer service. You will act as an expert by demonstrating knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring systems), product specifications, seasonality, Point of Sale systems, and selling techniques. The position requires leveraging digital tools to drive sales, improve service, and enhance associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology for business decisions, safety alerts, new product information, product application, and training. As an owner, you will communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs, track returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, maintain accurate inventory, audit safety standards, report complaints and hazards, complete documentation, ensure proper merchandise handling, identify member needs, assist with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues. You will also serve as a talent ambassador, advocating for the member experience, modeling high-quality service, developing and inspiring others, and assisting in training team members. The role also encompasses complying with company policies, completing work assignments, respecting individuals, acting with integrity, serving customers, and striving for excellence.

Requirements

  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team members to fulfil sales and service requests

  • Tracking and monitoring returns and special orders
  • Operating cash registers and processing transactions
  • Working hands-on in the physical area
  • Maintaining accurate inventory
  • Audit safety and compliance standards
  • Reporting TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas
  • Completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation
  • Ensuring merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Identifying member needs, assists members with purchasing decisions, and resolves issues and concerns
  • Being a brand advocate by valuing the members experience in the TBC area and modeling high quality service and products
  • Developing, influencing, and inspiring others for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team oriented
  • Understanding the roadblocks and assisting in training team members
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices
